Tickets for preseason game at Hands Oval between West Coast and North Melbourne sold out within a day

Tickets for the 2025 AAMI Community Series between West Coast and North Melbourne at Hands Memorial Oval have sold out within a day. The preseason game on March 1 will be only the second time the Eagles have played at Hands Oval. The match will be a warm-up to the historic AFL clash between the same two sides at the Bunbury venue in June. The City of Bunbury said it was a “huge moment” for the community, bringing “elite-level footy to our backyard and showcasing Bunbury as a top sporting destination”. The city also said it would soon add details about transport options for the event, including off-site parking and a free shuttle bus service. This match is a fully ticketed event, with no general admission member scanning available at the gate on match day, with the first bounce at 3.10pm WA time. It will be the first of three opportunities WA fans have to watch North Melbourne in Bunbury after the club announced a three-year agreement to play home games in the State. The game is the only one in the Community Series to be staged in a regional area, with the other eight games to be played at metropolitan venues around the country. The Roos will return to Hands Oval in round 13 to face the Eagles. Following the already completed $19.5 million redevelopment at Hands Oval, more improvements, including a temporary grandstand, are expected. The Eagles have only ever played at Hands Oval once before, in 1991 against the Adelaide Crows.
