Virginia Giuffre: Epstein survivor charged with breaching family violence restraining order weeks before crash

Jeffrey Epstein survivor Virginia Giuffre faced court charged with breaching a family violence restraining order just days before she was involved in a car crash with a school bus north of Perth. Ms Giuffre — who remains in a stable condition at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital — took to social media from a hospital bed on Tuesday saying she had “four days to live” and had kidney renal failure after a bus smashed into her car at 110km/h on March 24. A statement released late on Tuesday night from Ms Giuffre’s family thanked the public and said she had mistakenly shared the photo to her public platform. Court records show Ms Giuffre is accused of breaching a family violence restraining order at an Ocean Reef property on February 2. She faced Joondalup Magistrates Court for the first time on March 14 and is next due in court on Tuesday. Ms Giuffre has three children and is understood to have moved to WA in 2020, buying a home in Ocean Reef. WA Police have confirmed Ms Giuffre was involved in a crash with a school bus in Neergabby — about 80km north of Perth — about 3pm on March 24. Road Policing Commander Mike Bell said on Wednesday revealed the school bus was carrying 29 children but said there were no reported injuries. “We’re aware that there was a minor crash between a school bus that had 29 children on board and another vehicle,” he said. “There were no calls made to us that we can establish, and I understand that it has been investigated by Lancelin police.” Cdr Bell said the car received about $2000 worth of damage, but said there was nothing to indicate either vehicle was speeding at 110km/h. In the statement, the spokeswoman said: “Virginia thanks everyone for the outpouring of love and support.” “She is overwhelmed with gratitude. Today she remains in serious condition while receiving medical care,” it said. “On March 24, in rural Western Australia, a school bus hit the car in which she was riding. “The police were called but said that there was no one available to come to the scene. “They asked if anyone was injured and suggested that if they were, they should make their way to the hospital.” The statement continued: “The school bus driver had a bus full of distraught children and left the scene to get them back, saying he would file a police report, which he did later. “Virginia was banged up and bruised and returned home. “Virginia’s condition worsened and she was admitted to the hospital. “Concerning her Instagram post, Virginia thought that she had posted on her private Facebook page. “Virginia and her family thank everyone for their concern.” Ms Giuffre filed a civil lawsuit against Prince Andrew in 2021, alleging that he sexually assaulted her when she was just 17. Andrew agreed to an out-of-court settlement but has repeatedly denied the allegations. A photograph of Ms Giuffre as a teenager with the prince and former socialite and convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell — who lured underage girls on behalf of Epstein — has been central to a host of proceedings.
