Woman, 40, charged over driving under the influence, speeding in Piara Waters to pick kid up from school

A woman en route to school pick up allegedly had a blood alcohol reading more than four times the legal limit when she was pulled over by police on Friday.
Police allege the 40-year-old woman was clocked doing 58km/h in a 40km/h school zone in Piara Waters when officers pulled her over and conducted a roadside breath test.
She allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.210, more than four times the legal limit of 0.05, telling police she was on her way to pick up a child, with another child already in the back seat.
The woman was charged with one count each of driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding in a school zone.
Police say she will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
