Mines Rovers midfielder Jordan Delbridge has been added to the WA Country team for Sunday’s clash with South Australia at Adelaide Oval.

Delbridge comes into the side for Boulder star Brett Blair, who was ruled out after sustaining an injury last Saturday against Kambalda.

Blair was among three Boulder players initially named on the team, alongside teammates Jake Nuich and Andy Higgins, and Kalgoorlie’s Dylan Clarke.

Delbridge has been a mainstay for WA Country since 2018 and was co-captain two years ago.

Sunday’s match will be played as the curtain-raiser for the AFL clash between Adelaide and Hawthorn.

Blair’s injury and the absence of Nuich and Higgins puts a big dent in the Tigers’ squad for Saturday’s derby clash with Mines Rovers.

Boulder coach Simon Edwards this week said grabbing second spot at the expense of the Diorites was a priority.

However, a loss this weekend would put them three games and percentage behind their traditional rivals.

Railways, who play Kalgoorlie on Saturday, lead the competition with 11 wins.
