A musical extravaganza for Mandurah
Musician Gene Peterson is returning to the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre next month following his successful show last year.
A rhythmic extravaganza, the show will also feature special guest and percussionist Saia Hanlon, and internationally renowned hip hop and tap dancing duo, TMC.
The artists combine astounding drumming with blistering tapdancing and hilarious novelty acts to present a fun-filled show for all ages.
The talented rhythmatists also make music from kids’ toys, office equipment, junk, kitchen utensils and household items, taking audiences of all ages on a rhythmic journey exploring ‘‘found sound’’.
Receiving rave reviews on a tour of the eastern States, Gene Peterson: A Rhythmic Celebration is a creative mix not to be missed.
It has been described as ‘‘a show grandmothers can take their grandsons to’’.
The show starts at 7.30pm on Saturday, June 2.
Tickets cost $45 adults, $42 concessions, $40 FOMPAC members, $30 people under 25 years and $20 children under 12.
Family of four packages are available for two adults and two children, and cost $100.
