Two teenagers were arrested by Rockingham detectives last week and charged with a string of offences after an alleged crime spree last month.

The boys, aged 14 and 16 of no fixed address, were apprehended in Parmelia after a pursuit on foot in which the pair ran from officers and jumped fences, according to police. It is alleged the elder of the accused tried to fight officers in a bid to escape.

The pair are alleged to have stolen a vehicle from Tristram Gardens in Parmelia early on October 27 and driven it to Warnbro, where it broke down. They later tried to break into a residence on Reveley Street in Waikiki, police say.

The boys are alleged to have also used stolen credit cards for a taxi and to buy food at fast food outlets in Baldivis.

The 16-year-old was charged with eight counts of fraud, three counts of stealing a motor vehicle, aggravated burglary, stealing, assault occasioning bodily harm and assault with intent to prevent arrest. The 14-year-old was charged with three counts of stealing a motor vehicle, aggravated burglary and breach of bail.
