Rockingham Detectives called on the Police Air Wing last Wednesday night to apprehend a man who led them on a chase across bushland.

Police say they saw a white Toyota LandCruiser being driven in reckless fashion in Kwinana Beach about 11.20pm, and the four-wheel-drive failing to stop when directed.

A 27-year-old man was arrested in bushland after a pursuit, and the vehicle was found to have been stolen.

It is alleged the man had no licence and had altered the car’s number plates.

The man is also alleged to have had stolen windsurfing equipment and tools that were found in his possession.

In a separate matter, the man was wanted by Armadale police and charged with burglary and firearms offences.
