At home in new building
After many months patiently waiting for construction to finish, the Secret Harbour Surf Life Saving Club has finally opened the doors to its new building.
In the two months since the club has gained access to the state-of-the-art premises, it has held a number of courses to prepare members for the summer season ahead including Surf Rescue Certificates, Senior First Aid and Inflatable Rescue Boat award.
SHSLSC administrator Sharon Phillips said the club had been very spoilt with the new building.
“We still have a lot to organise but we are well on our way to being right at home and ready for summer,” she said.
“The space we have now is amazing — we have room to move and the storage area for our equipment is fantastic.”
The SHSLSC building is available for private function hire and hosted its first wedding on June 18.
