MORNING MELODY

Cottontail Trio and the Supper Club

Mandurah Performing Arts Centre

11am on Tuesday, February 4

Take a step back in time when Cottontail Trio and the Supper Club bring some old-time swing to the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre.

The band is a nine-piece outfit with an authentic vintage sound brought to life by its three-part horn and swinging rhythm sections.

Fronting the band is the Cottontail Trio — Jessie Gordon, Amy Rosato and Alissa Claessens — who sing in close harmony to dazzle the audience with their blinding speed and accuracy, then soothe with their blended, silken tones.

Jazz was America’s first popular music, capturing the imagination of a generation of young people who discovered a freedom of thought, movement and expression.

The 1920s and 30s saw the rise of swing music in an exciting new world where young people drank champagne and danced in flapper dresses and dapper suits.

Gordon, Rosato and Claessens combine their love of singing, dancing and theatricality to bring the music of the golden era to life.

Their performance is part of the MPAC’s morning melodies program.

A complementary morning tea for ticket holders will be served at 10am.

Tickets cost $25 and $20 for FOMPAC members.
