Australia's youngest circus owner, Damian Syred, is excited to bring his show to his hometown.

Damian, whose family lives in Port Kennedy, will give Rockingham residents a first peek at the Circus Royale show when the big top opens on New Year’s Day.

The circus will be on Dixon Road until January 6.

Circus Royale’s blend of athleticism, bravery, fearlessness and amazement can be seen twice daily under the air-conditioned big top.

“I am proud to be staging Circus Royale in my home district and have employed exciting new performers for 2013,” Damian said.

“I try bring the whole circus troupe home for Christmas and New Year every second year.”

The Sound Telegraph has double passes to give away for the opening night’s performance. Be one of the first 25 readers to visit the office at unit 2, corner Ennis Avenue and Dixon Road, Rockingham after 9am on Friday, December 28 to win.

Only one double pass will be given to each reader.

The entertainment is not just for kids according to Port Kennedy resident Jan Cook, who waited in line for more than three hours to win tickets to Circus Royale last week.

She joined about 20 people who gathered before 9am at the Sound Telegraph’s office to win a double pass.

Cook said she had dropped her husband off at work at 5.30am and thought she would come early.

“I just thought I may as well,” she said.

“I’m going to take my partner, we enjoy the circus.

“It’s not just for kids.”
