The Sound Telegraph has teamed with Baldivis Health and Fitness to hold a boot camp to raise money for Telethon.

The Telethon boot camp will be held at the Village Green Reserve on October 6 to raise as much money as possible while exercising and keeping fit.

Baldivis Health and Fitness owner Ted Blackshaw said he was excited about the event and encouraged people to be involved.

‘‘I have been doing charity work all my life,’’ Mr Blackshaw said.

‘‘Hopefully participants will have fun and gain an insight into their bodies. We only have one body and need to make the best of it.’’

He also encouraged children to take part.

‘‘Encouraging fitness at a young age and getting bodies motivated to stop sitting at the television or computer is the point,’’ he said.

Four hundred people are expected to participate in the boot camp.

‘‘It’s not an army boot camp, it is general fitness with fun,’’ he said.

‘‘We hope to raise as much as we can while making people aware of their bodies.'

The event starts at 10am and entry is $20 per person.
