Classic rockers return
‘Seriously not serious’ classic rockers The Krakatinni Brothers are back at the Rockingham Hotel on Friday, July 6 for another night of rock songs, laughs and fun.
The Krakatinni Brothers is made up of Harry Pasica, Geoff Loneragan, Peter Stockman and Neil Hetherington who have all performed extensively in the Perth music scene for years, including in 1980s and ’90s acts Harry and the Hooligans, Apache and The Fabulous Frogs.
They play classic Aussie anthems from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s and give the audience a chance to laugh as well as listen to great music.
Pasica plays keyboards and is the lead vocalist and said the band makes sure it gives audiences an experience they can actually be involved in, rather than just playing to them.
‘‘It’s about getting back to the entertainment,’’ he said.
‘‘These days a lot of bands are very, very good, they’re musically perfect, but we go on with the premise that ‘what’s the difference between a CD and a band?’
‘‘You gotta go the next step and entertain the crowd and get them involved in what you’re doing.’’
Pasica said it was important for the band to keep the audience interested and to really enjoy the show.
‘‘It’s basically geared to be interactive,’’ he said.
‘‘Rather than just play to people we have a bit of a joke and a run-around the room to get people involved.’’
Doors open at 6pm and entry is free.
The Krakatinni Brothers will play from 8pm.
