Collard in dominant form
John Brown Memorial Award recipient Taylor Collard produced an eye-catching performance at last weekend’s Rockingham Districts Little Athletics competition.
Competing in the U16 girls’ division, Collard proved too strong for her rivals in the 100m (13.50 seconds), 200m hurdles (32.50), discus (18.75m), high jump (1.45m) and long jump (4.80m).
The U15 girls’ division proved hotly contested with six individual winners from seven events.
Taylah Barwise was the only multiple event winner, taking out the 400m in 1.17.07 and the high jump with a leap of 1.50m.
U12 girls’ competitor Kalani Ingram enjoyed a hat-trick of wins after prevailing in the 400m (1.12.57), high jump (1.30m) and long jump (4.19m).
In the boys’ U11 division, Aleks Radovic claimed multiple event wins in the 1100m walk and the 60m hurdles, while Ronan Dunne took out the 800m in 3.01.31.
