Cramer digs deep for weekend double

Sound Telegraph

Stewart Cramer made the most of favourable conditions to claim two division wins at last weekend’s Secret Harbour Surf Beach Boardriders competition.

The 1.5-2m swell proved ideal for Cramer, who outpointed Noel Whitfield and Russ Trowbridge to win the Over 40 category.

He followed up with overall honours in the Over 45 division, edging out Brian Dry and Dean Woodley.

Kierra Pollock also enjoyed a successful outing en route to winning the Junior Women’s classification. Pollock also came close to taking out the Cadet Girls division, but was a close second to April McPherson.

McPherson earned two event wins after prevailing in the Gromet Girls competition.

Michael Orr claimed the Open Men’s division from Adam Smallridge, Harry McPherson and Matt Curly.

Curly squared the ledger by winning the Senior Men’s category.

The competition was the clubs sixth of the season with the next event set down for October 21.
