There is a $2000 diamond roaming loose on the streets of Rockingham with its owner none the wiser as to its worth.

One diamond and 499 cubic zirconias were sold at $10 each for charity at last month’s Long Table Lunch in Rockingham.

Martin and Grace Lovell, of Lovell Jewellers, are still waiting for the lucky person that unknowingly bought the diamond to come in and have it verified.

“It’s very hard to tell the difference between cubic zirconias and diamonds,” Mr Lovell said.

“Last time, it took a few months for the person to come in and we have already had plenty of hopefuls run through the doors hoping they had the diamond.”
