Fire at Orelia fish and chip shop

A family-run business must re-build for the second time in 12 months, after fire gutted the Kwinana Fish and Chip Shop in Orelia overnight.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to the Hennessy Avenue shop about 1.25am, just months after a car smashed through the chip shop’s frontage.

Arson squad detectives were on the scene this morning.

The fire is estimated to have caused about $50,000 damage.
