Anna and Elsa Frozen dolls have continued to dominate the top-sellers list in the toy department at Kmart Baldivis this Christmas, almost three years since the Disney hit's release.

The store's toy section expert Stephanie Vann said merchandise associated with the movie remained popular for primary school-aged girls.

Anything Star Wars had proved to be the must-have gift for boys in the same age-group in 2015.

Miss Vann said Lego, My Little Pony toys, remote-controlled cars and water activities such as water balloons had also proved popular among parents shopping for children.

"Anything Frozen is still really popular," Miss Vann said.

"We've had new toddler Elsas this year and tall standing ones, which have been selling really well."

Miss Vann said last week had been the store's busiest since it opened in March this year - but customer numbers were expected to spike again this week and next.

She said shoppers had come equipped with letters written to Father Christmas and pictures on their mobile phones of their children's most desired toys.

"People still come in with items circled in catalogues but mostly they want to show me pictures on their phones," Miss Vann said.

Store manager David Langdan said deliveries of toys to the store had doubled with between eight and 10 semi-trailers arriving each week in the lead-up to Christmas.

He said staffing levels were up along with trading hours.

"Sales have been pretty consistent since we opened, but it rises exponentially from mid-November," Mr Langdan said. "People have also been very generous in donating gifts to Kmart's Wishing Tree appeal - we have had about 300 gifts in the two weeks since it started." Mr Langdan encouraged shoppers to grab a gift tag from the Christmas tree at the front of the store and donate a gift for those less fortunate.
