Gale force of Aussie rock

Get ready to rock at The Admiral Hotel on Friday night as the legend that is Angry Anderson drops into town for a one-off Aussie rock spectacular.

Joining forces with Medina-raised musician Mark Gale, Rose Tattoo slide guitarist Dai Pritchard, former The Angels bassist James Morley and one-time Jimmy Barnes and Diesel drummer Yak Sherrit, Anderson will deliver all the classic Aussie rock hits from the past three decades.

Absolute 80s bassist Gale, the older brother of WA model Megan Gale, said audiences could expect an energy-filled night as the collective delivered tunes including We Can't Be Beaten, Bad Boy For Love and Rock n Roll Outlaw.

Gale said his bandmates for the night inspired him to take up performing music in the first place, so playing with the guys in Kwinana was like coming full circle.

"Playing with Angry here definitely brings things full circle," Gale said.

"Rose Tattoo's Scarred for Life album was on high rotation as I was growing up - it was probably always a bit louder than it should have been, much to my parents' dismay." Gale said his love of Aussie rock influenced his younger sister, who still held dear her appreciation of the genre.

"Megan still likes good old Aussie rock, which I take full credit for," Gale said.

Gale said his early appreciation for The Angels, AC/DC and Rose Tattoo led him to a career in music, highlights of which included playing alongside the former's front man Doc Neeson, Uncanny X-Men singer Brian Mannix, Boom Crash Opera vocalist Dale Ryder and 80s pop group The Chantoozies.

He said it was a huge buzz to return to Kwinana with some of Australia's most recognisable musicians. Doors open at 8pm. Tickets are available from the venue or www.trybooking.com .
