Gym team lifts a ton of trophies
Another International Natural Bodybuilding Association event has come and gone, and once again the team at 24/7 Power Fitness Rockingham returned with a swag of trophies.
Seven competitors from the Rockingham gym took to the stage at the INBA West Coast Super Show, which was part of the Fitness Expo held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre this month.
The group included a mix of first-time and experienced competitors, and of the 19 divisions entered, they returned home with 17 trophies.
Rockingham mother of three Ljubica Radovic, 40, competed for the first time and won the Ms Fitness Model 40-plus division.
She also finished second in the Ms Sports Model first-timer category.
Radovic spent three months preparing for the show under the watchful eye of gym co-owner and trainer Jourdana Clarke.
“It was a lot of fun and I am definitely looking to do it all over again,” Radovic said.
“We are all looking to the INBA WA Titles in October now, which is exciting.”
Fellow 24/7 Power Fitness competitor Dale Schnaars won both the men’s novice and the men’s 72.1kg-77kg divisions.
After eating the same food for 20 weeks to perfect his bo-dy, Schnaars said he thorou-ghly enjoyed tucking into his cheat meal after the event.
“I had two deep-fried chicken burgers, a family chips, ice-cream, doughnuts and a block of chocolate,” he said.
Fellow 24/7 Power Fitness member Wulan Dewi competed at the event and qualified to receive her INBA Pro Card.
