Peel District Crime Team are seeking the public’s assistance regarding an incident at Rockingham Shopping Centre on Tuesday August 23.

At about 6.20am, a man used a crowbar to smash his way through a glass door to enter the shopping centre.

Once inside the centre, the man picked up a silver cigarette bin and ran to the Shiels Jewellery Store where he again smashed his way inside.

He stole a large quantity of jewellery including Citizen, Jag and Esq watches and used the bin to transport the goods out of the centre.

The man left the scene in less than two minutes in a white utility driven by a male accomplice.

Acting Detective Sen. Sgt Chris Turner said the police have obtained very good footage of the incident.

``The man who entered Shiels was wearing a black Everlast jumper, white shoes and a red bandana,'' he said.

The total value of the stolen property will be known after the store has completed a stock take.

Anyone who has any information about the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
