Horner visit has students dancing

Sound Telegraph

Dancing With The Stars judge Joshua Horner danced his way into the Beverley Margaret School of Dance last week for a coaching session.

About 45 students learnt choreography from the Disneyland Los Angeles resident dancer.

The studio is preparing for its third trip to Disney World in Florida next April and owner Beverley Margaret said students were thrilled to get performance tips from the man in the know.

“It was an inspirational workshop for our students,” she said. “Joshua was fantastically encouraging and humorous and the event will be long remembered by all.”

Horner was a resident at the Australian Ballet for five years before starring in musical theatre in London’s West End, Broadway and Australia playing lead roles in A Chorus Line and Billy Elliot.

He is best known in Australia for his recent stint as a judge on Dancing With The Stars.

After the workshop, Horner answered questions from students and parents.

He chose five dancers for personal coaching sessions.
