Jades get jump on Pythons
Jades Juniors proved too strong for clubmates Killer Pythons in last weekend’s U15 A netball grand final at the Mike Barnett Sports Complex.
Led by best-on-court Maralli MacKnack, Jades Juniors completed a hard-fought 52-38 triumph.
In other results, Knights outpointed Ripcurls 45-33 in the U17 A decider. Caris Langley was adjudged best on court.
Raiders and Fever took out the corresponding B and C grades.
In U12 A action, Attackers registered a thrilling one-goal win over Warriors. Despite the best efforts of Keeley Wooley, Attackers did enough to prevail 30-29.
Bethany Marshall led Swans to a 25-15 win against Phantoms in the U12 B final, while Islay Nicol impressed in Rockettes 33-21 victory over Sharks in the corresponding C-Grade clash.
The U13 B-Grade decider also proved a nail-biting affair with Wildones edging out Vixens 29-28.
Wildones’ Hannah Russell was best on court.
Knights had an easier time of things in the U13 A-Grade final, downing Anacondas 46-26.
In U15 results, Mockinjays accounted for JJs 47-36 in D-Grade, Allstars defeated Angels 42-21 in C-Grade and Tuckers registered a 46-30 win over Whoopwhoop in B-Grade.
