Juniors take home trophies

Kwinana Swimming Club’s Christian Silas returned from the recent Western Sprint Extravaganza competition with a heavier bag after winning two trophies at the event.

Eight-year-old Christian was the talk of the club’s silver squad after he recorded some good times in the 50m and 100m backstroke to pick up a first place trophy, a new time in the 100m breaststroke also saw him come second in the stroke category.

Caitlin Silas, 10, also swam strongly to pick up the backstroke trophy.

Caitlin went on to record two personal best times in the 50m breaststroke and butterfly events.

Fellow swimmer Celine Hugi, 11, also put in a top swimming performance.
