Machete men threaten woman
A Rockingham woman was threatened by two men with a machete in her home last Sunday night.
The woman had returned home from work about 9pm and noticed two people near her house.
She went inside, had dinner, and was watching television when the power went off.
She went outside to the meter box, where she found the switch had tripped.
Back inside, she was having a shower when the offenders smashed through two rear glass doors with a machete.
They reached the bathroom, demanded money and shoved a towel into her mouth.
The woman then bit the finger of one of the offenders.
A neighbour who had heard the sound of smashing glass arrived to investigate, and the offenders fled the scene empty handed.
The offenders are described as both being men with short builds and wearing balaclavas.
One offender has brown eyes and was wearing gold-rimmed, square-framed glasses.
Police said the offenders were after the takings the woman had with her from a restaurant she works at in Rockingham.
The takings have since been secured by police.
If anyone has information they are asked to contact police on 131 444.
