The first edition of The Sound Magazine is packed with stories about the people, places and events that make this part of the world such a great place to live.

The glossy magazine hits the streets next week and will be available at numerous locations, including cafes, hotels and doctors’ surgeries Copies of the magazine will be available for pick-up from the Sound Telegraph’s office in Rockingham on the corner of Dixon Road and Ennis Avenue.

Sound Telegraph news editor Clare Negus said the newspaper’s reporters had scoured the region, from Kwinana to Peel, to find and share insights into the quirky characters and passionate people at its heart.

“On the front cover is Waikiki mother-of-two Jackie Jethon, who has photographed some of rock’s biggest names,” she said.

“Read about some of Jackie’s run-ins with the likes of David Hasselhoff.”

Look back over the growth of Kwinana as the city and its people celebrate its 60th anniversary and hear from some of the city’s lifelong residents about their fondest memories.
