Rotary International recently recognised a worthy Rockingham citizen for their service to the community.

City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels was recognised as a Paul Harris Fellow for his contributions to the Rockingham Rotary Club.

“This is an unexpected but deeply appreciated recognition, and one which aligns very closely to my ongoing enthusiasm for helping build our community in as many ways, and at as many levels, as I can,” he said.

Paul Harris Fellow is the one of the highest awards offered by Rotary International for recognition of exceptional service to the organisation or community.

New fellows are chosen by existing fellows.
