New beginnings were celebrated last week when Clayton Massey was officially commissioned as the new principal of Tranby College.

Dr Massey was presented with symbols of the school by staff and student representatives in a ceremony led by Uniting Church general secretary Reverend David de Kock.

During the event, the new principal stated his commitment to be a good-hearted, well-intentioned and open-minded educator who would make a real difference to the lives of students.

Hospitality students showcased their talents and skills by offering refreshments before the ceremony and the combined school choirs and String Ensemble performed Here I am Lord, and Lanterns, by Birds of Tokyo.
