Night to showcase strippers’ skills

There will be something to enjoy for both guys and girls when Players Bar in Mandurah hosts Explicit and Magic Mike On Stage on Friday night.

The Xotica girls will perform for the boys, with the guys from Top Shelf Entertainment serving up just as much for the ladies, in a back-to-back show from 9pm.

Xotica performer Tanika West said she was excited to perform alongside her male counterparts.

“This is a new idea and I love it,” she said.

“The girls can have some fun as well, as there will be some hot boys there. Everyone wins, it’s awesome.”

Explicit is a topless dance show and West said it showcased the four girls’ skills as dancers and entertainers, as well as their physiques.

She said her career choice stemmed from watching inspiring dancers, including Felix Cane who now performs with Cirque du Soleil.

“The first time I ever saw her on a pole I thought, ‘wow, I want to do that’,” she said.

“I knew I wanted to be a performer.

“It is a creative outlet.

“The art of striptease is very beautiful.”

West has worked hard to make her role as showgirl a full-time job.

“I love it and I’m committed to it,” she said.

“I travel and am on tour constantly.

“It’s full-time — I’ve very busy. For me it is my Monday to Friday and more.”

She said her job demanded she looked her best.

Tickets to Explicit and Magic Mike On Stage cost $25 at the door or $20 pre sale.

Doors open at 8pm.
