Paddy had ‘brilliant smile’
Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of 105-year-old Kathleen ‘Paddy’ Clayster on Monday, May 27.
Paddy lived at Gracehaven Village retirement home in Rockingham for the last 13 years, having made the move south from East Fremantle with her husband, George, in 1990.
Paddy was a regular on the pages of the Telegraph, with her birthdays featured on a near-annual basis after she turned 100.
Mrs Clayster died peacefully on May 13 with her family at her side, just six months shy of her 106th birthday. Daughter June Kelly-Seymour said her mum would be remembered for her “brilliant smile”.
“Mum spent many happy years in Rockingham and loved swimming, bowls, cards and bingo,” she said.
“She was also a very big West Coast Eagles fan and would light up at news of their results.
“She loved films, music and travelled widely to places such as Japan, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong.”
Mrs Clayster leaves behind two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
