In other matches, the clash between South Mandurah and Baldivis more than lived up to its pre-game hype with the Falcons overturning a three-quarter-time deficit to triumph by two points.

In a see-sawing contest at Falcon Reserve, the home side led by 16 points at the first change, before Baldivis responded to hold a two-point advantage at half-time.

Little separated the sides in the second half, with Souths’ accuracy in front of goal proving crucial in the 16.6 (102) to 15.10 (100) win.

Falcons forwards Rod Tregenza and Jake Ferrier booted five goals apiece, but were upstaged by the Brumbies’ Peter Agostino, who finished with nine.

The Demons maintained pressure on Rockingham courtesy of a 119-point mauling of Halls Head. Justin Giumelli (seven goals),Adam Clancy and Ben Matthews-Herald (five each) were Waroona’s main avenue to goal.
