Roadshow to bring a bundle of laughs

Sound Telegraph

A cast of intrepid travelling comedians can’t be confined to Melbourne’s comedy rooms any longer — they’re back on the road to entertain crowds in the 2014 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow.

Be a part of the fun when they roll into Kwinana and Mandurah with a huge show featuring some of the best talent from one of the world’s biggest comedy festivals.

After 15 years of traversing the many highways of this wide, brown land, the 2014 Roadshow is another jam-packed tour.

It transports fresh-faced and well-known comedians from the fancy theatres of Comedy Festival HQ to Hobart, Hong Kong and every venue in between.

In 2013, Roadshow enjoyed enormous success, performing more than 109 shows in more than 60 regional towns and cities across Australia, before concluding the tour with a sell-out international leg conquering Singapore, Hong Kong and India.

This year’s line-up includes a mix of local heroes and international stars, as well as the hottest new discoveries of the festival.

MC Kevin Kropinyeri will facilitate a “chuckalicious” show, with Anne “Eddo” Edmonds, Luke Heggie, Nick Cody and Tom Ballard providing plenty of humour.

Kropinyeri is a one-man whirlwind who mixes keen observational stand-up with joyfully ridiculous physical comedy.

The show contains strong language, sexual references and material that can offend, and is recommended for people aged 16 or older.

The Roadshow stops at Koorliny Arts Centre tomorrow at 8pm.

Tickets cost $35 for adults and $32 for concession, and are available at www.koorliny.com.au or by phoning 9467 7118.

The laughs continue at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre at 7.30pm on June 3.

Tickets cost $45 for adults, $42 for concession, $40 for MPAC members and $30 people for under 25 years. Visit www.manpac.com.au.
