Secret Harbour Shopping Centre owners Charter Hall have confirmed the first stage of the centre’s $58 million redevelopment is progressing on schedule.

Project works on the existing commercial hub began in February, with space set to be constructed for 30 new specialty stores.

The current stage of redevelopment includes tiling and refurbishment within the existing centre, which will be followed by expansion and refurbishment of the existing Woolworths supermarket due for completion in late 2016.

The redevelopment will see the introduction of Coles and ALDI as well as Red Dot, Dome, McDonalds and Rockmans.

Charter Hall’s Head of Development, John Courtney, said 75 per cent of total specialty retail space was currently leased or under offer.

The centre’s new carpark is also open.

Once finished, the centre will also feature a new casual dining precinct along Oasis Drive.

The Doric Group is overseeing the redevelopment, with work is expected to be completed in early 2017.
