Transperth has encouraged Rockingham and Kwinana commuters to make alternative travel plans ahead of a series of shutdowns on Friday.

A Transperth spokesman said the Mandurah to Perth line would be closed between Esplanade and Perth stations from 8pm on Friday.

“Additionally there will be a Perth to Cockburn station closure on the evening of Sunday, July 14,” he said.

“When work requires the full or partial closure of a train line, adequate replacement bus services are provided.”
