GIG

Michael Triscari

The Rockingham Hotel

Saturday, June 28

Former Rockingham singer and songwriter Michael Triscari hopes his Rockingham Hotel gig encourages more people to get out and enjoy the city’s live music scene.

The blues/roots/reggae and folk musician has made a name for himself through energetic live performances.

Despite living in Margaret River, he continues to return to Rockingham to perform gigs.

“There are a lot of people in Rockingham who love music and are passionate about it but they need to get out and support it,” he said.

Triscari has rallied friends Matt Warring and The Scared Rattler to play on the night.

“This gig is different from other gigs as it will incorporate all walks of life from all age brackets,” he said.

Warring is a singer-songwriter from Perth who is rapidly building a following.

Triscari described The Scared Rattler as a “young, creative musician with ridiculous songwriting skills and mind-blowing vocals”. He said

he was looking forward to returning to the Rockingham Hotel — the venue of his first gig.

“I haven’t played there in a long, long time – it’s just going to be great to get back there,” he said.

“I just love playing live.”

Triscari recently released his single Black Sheep.

“I have received a lot of great feedback, it’s such a good way to welcome the release of my album in the near future,” he said.
