Every year, primary schools all over WA celebrate the Safety House program in their local communities in the art competition.

From nearly 2500 entries across all primary school age groups, each of eight winning student artists were awarded their certificates and cash prizes.

Comet Bay Primary School submitted 359 entries from students in pre-primary to Year 6 and had two students winning their age group categories.

Sienna Fiorini won the Year 2 age group category and Wayne Stevenson won the Year 3 age group category with bright and intricate designs.

The Safety House program has been active in WA for more than 30 years and is a community-based initiative of volunteer householders being good neighbours — there to help any young children in need.

It offers a place of safety for children when they are away from the security and comfort of their home and school environment.
