The hunt is on for pool players as winter approaches
The Peel Pool Association is gearing up for its 2016 winter season and is hoping to attract new players to join in the fun.
According to PPA registrar Kevin Higgins, no prior pool experience is required to be a part of the league.
“Anybody who is interested is encouraged to contact us and we welcome all skill levels,” he said.
“Pool is a very social sport and we can help you learn as you go.
“We have two divisions, a mixture of experienced players and we welcome everyone to come along and give it a try.”
Teams play each Tuesday night at the Mandurah Indoor Sports Centre with the winter season underway in March.
New players can join the likes of PPA champion and committee member Steve Hale who has been selected to represent Australia in the World 8-Ball Pool Championship in England later this year.
Hale is the only player from WA and one of six chosen for the Masters team which will travel to Blackpool in June.
