Triathlon is set to test young athletes
Young athletes will get the chance to shine when the Rockingham SunSmart Kids Triathlon is held on February 10 at Singleton Beach.
The event is aimed at children aged seven to 15 who enjoy swimming, cycling and running.
Children will participate in a swim in the ocean, then a cycle leg followed by a run.
The distances will differ depending on the individual child’s age and ability.
Registration for the TRYstar participants will be at 9am on February 10. Pre-race briefing will be at 9.20am and the race will get under way at 9.30am.
The event will be held at Singleton Beach, follow Singleton Beach Road to the roundabout and enter the carpark.
All registered TRYstars members can participate in the event free of charge. Non-members will be required to pay $10, payable on the day.
Participants will receive a swim cap at registration and a medal on completion of the event. TRYstars will need to bring along equipment for all three legs, along with sunscreen and water.
The Rockingham Triathlon Club has partnered with Healthway and Triathlon WA to hold the event.
