Violent Wellard home invasion appeal

A 16-year-old Wellard girl was the victim of a violent home invasion on June 22 and Rockingham detectives are seeking help from members of the public.

Police allege that about 2.55pm a man entered a home on Hurley Way, Wellard, and threatened the girl, forcing her to remove property from the home and carry it to a nearby park.

He ordered her to stay at the park until he left the area.

Police said he was last seen at about 3.20pm in the vicinity of Abingdon Park, near Wellard train station.

They also suspect he may have been with another man at the time he was last seen.

The man is described as about 25 years of age, 186cm tall, with a dark complexion, a slim, athletic build and short hair.

Anyone who can identify the man is asked to come forward.
