WA-inspired works feature of show
Rockingham landscapes, plus scenes from Fremantle, Rottnest, Margaret River and the Pilbara region, will feature in Waikiki artist Irene Osborne’s latest exhibition.
The two-day exhibition will be held from 10am to 5pm on June 8 and 9 at 7 Leake Street in Fremantle.
Osborne said her passion for landscaped stemmed from a bush upbringing.
“Everywhere you go in Western Australia, we have such unique landscapes,” she said.
“I try to capture the essence of the place.”
The exhibition is a mix of watercolour, oil and acrylic works.
Osborne said she felt a connection to each location and promoted WA through her art.
“All my paintings are of places I have lived or worked in,” she said.
Entry is free and all pieces will be for sale.
