Waikiki man on cannabis charges

Several hydroponic cannabis plants and more than 1kg of cannabis were allegedly found by police at a property in Waikiki last week.

The organised crime squad conducted a search warrant on Wednesday at a property on Torrens Drive, Waikiki, where four cannabis plants, 1.5kg of cannabis and some cash were allegedly uncovered.

A 30-year-old man was charged with possession of cannabis with intent to sell or supply, possession of cannabis oil with intent to sell or supply, possession of cannabis resin with intent to sell or supply, cultivation of cannabis with intent to sell or supply, manufacturing of prohibited drugs, possession of a prohibited plant, possession of unlawfully obtained property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The man is due to appear in Rockingham Magistrates Court on September 19.
