Two very different worlds will collide when HIT Productions presents Educating Rita by Willy Russell at Koorliny Arts Centre on May 19.

Francesca Bianci plays naïve hairdresser Rita, while Colin Moody assumes the role of Frank, a cynical, burnt-out English professor who drinks too much whisky.

Rita has a thirst for knowledge and wants Frank to teach her about culture but who will end up teaching whom?

Directed by AFI award-winner Denny Lawrence, this charming and wonderfully entertaining comedy classic has been loved by audiences for over 30 years.

Lawrence said the play had universal themes as relevant to audiences now as when the play premièred.

“Most of all, it is full of the wit and passion that characterise Willy Russell’s works,” he said.

Tickets are now on sale, for more information visit www.koorliny.com.au or contact 9467 7118.
