Young Knights celebrate club milestones

Sound Telegraph

Kwinana Knights Junior Football Club players continued their run of milestone matches last Saturday.

Noah Kirkwood and Kody Geere from the Year 6 White team celebrated their 50th games for the club.

Prior to the game, Noah and Kody joined their team mates in a tight huddle with coach Peter Geere, before bursting through a banner onto Orelia Oval for their game against South Coogee White.

Next weekend will be a huge weekend for the Knights with six players chalking up milestone games.

Today, in honour of their 50th games for the club, Jordan Selden, Steven Spencer and Angus McVeigh will together lead the Year 6 Reds onto the oval for their game against Armadale White.

Celebrations continue on Sunday with three players, Jack Kirkwood, Jaxon Liddelow and Brandon Donaldson, playing their 100th games for the Knights in their Year 10 clash with Jandakot Jets.

After comfortably defeating Kelmscott 25.15 (165) to 1.2 (8) last Sunday, the Kwinana Year 10s will use the milestones as inspiration to continue their unbeaten run. It stems from the start of last season resulting in their 2012 grand final win over Armadale.
