13-year-old attacked
Rockingham Detectives are investigating a disturbing attack on a 13-year-old boy, carried out by two other young boys who are estimated to be about 16.
On Sunday March 8 about 1pm the victim was walking along the footpath adjacent to The Esplanade with friends.
He was confronted by two boys on bicycles who, after a short discussion, began kicking and punching him.
They then threatened him with further violence unless they were given a chain the victim was wearing.
To prevent being assaulted again the victim handed over the chain and the two boys left the area.
The victim received cuts and bruising as a result of the attack.
Detectives would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault and in particular would lik to speak with the driver of a yellow Hyundai Hatchback that the victim attempted to approach.
Anyone with information or who may have dash-cam or mobile phone footage of the fight or the area at the time is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at crimestopperswa.com.au or call 1800 333 000.
