Rockingham Detectives are investigating a Bertram home burglary and assault, which occurred late on Friday night.

Between 11.40pm and midnight, a man forced entry to a home on Moombaki Avenue and threatened the occupants inside.

He then assaulted a man before fleeing on foot with stolen jewellery. He is described as being between 18 and 25 and about 155cm tall.

CCTV shows the man was walking in the around Bertram Road and Moombaki Avenue for some time prior to the offence, with many vehicles driving around in the area at the time.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who can identify the man in the CCTV footage, has dashcam vision of the area from around the time of the incident, or has information which may assist the investigation.
