Colourful fundraiser
Students at Koorana Primary School and Koorana Education Support Centre celebrated Friday afternoon in style on March 2, taking part in a colour explosion to raise funds for the school.
Parents and volunteers lined the oval and threw colour and water into the crowds of children and teachers as they navigated their way through a fun course.
The Rockingham Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service was also on hand to add to the fun by dousing children with water using a fire hose.
Organised by the school’s P&C, president Sharon Desai said it was something fun for children to enjoy while also raising funds for the school.
“It was an awesome fundraising effort,” she said.
“Thank you to the P&C, all the parents who helped, Port Kennedy Soccer Club for letting us use their facilities and Rockingham Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service.”
