Members of the Rockingham and Kwinana community shimmied down to the foreshore to enjoy culinary delicacies and entertaining delights on the weekend.

Rockingham’s Long Table Lunch and Big Brew’s Beach party was enjoyed by more than 800 people eager to receive the best of what the region had to offer.

Rockingham Kwinana Chamber of Commerce president Basil Paparone said both events had been really successful with everything going to plan.

Partygoers and diners enjoyed a six-course meal along with raffles, beach games, competitions, an auction and music by Murphy’s Lore over the two days.

Part proceeds from this year’s event will be given to the Salvation Army Rockingham, which runs a drop-in centre, offers free counselling and emergency relief.

Highlights from the two events will be featured in WA Weekend on Channel 7 on April 3.
