Kwinana Anzac Day events well attended
The Kwinana community rallied together to celebrate Anxac Day with a dawn service followed by a parade and commemorative service in Medina.
Father-and-son duo Andrew and David Murray led the parade with their drum and pipes whilst several community groups and primary schools laid wreaths to commemorate the fallen soldiers.
Kwinana RSL sub branch president Dave Spillman led the service whilst Peter Carnley student Aiden Gallbraith was given the honour of bugler, playing the Last Post.
The 15-year-old said he had been nervous but excited and was humbled by the great honour.
Two Hawk-127 lead-in fighter planes flew over the crowd before both the Australian and New Zealand anthems were sung.
Deputy Premier Roger Cook attended the celebrations along with City of Kwinana Mayor Carol Adams and several dignitaries.
