A Bertram man will face court later this month on a string of charges, with police claiming he is guilty of committing a three-month crime spree.

Police spotted a stolen BMW sedan being driven in Parmelia at about 11.40am on Wednesday morning, with an alleged pursuit ensuing.

The driver, Ashley King, 28, was arrested after the vehicle was stopped in Medina, with a 28-year-old female passenger also detained.

Police claim Mr King committed burglaries across the south metropolitan region earlier this year in Bertram, Camillo, Success, Warnbro and South Lake.

They say the accused used stolen vehicles in the burglaries.

Mr King appeared at Rockingham Magistrates Court on Thursday and has been remanded in custody to reappear on March 24.

He has been charged with four counts of burglary, four of stealing, three of stealing a motor vehicle, two of reckless driving, possessing stolen property and failing to stop for police.
