A man has been fined $200 after he stole less than $30 worth of goods from Red Dot in Waikiki.

The man appeared in the Rockingham Magistrate’s Court on Monday charged with one count of stealing.

The court was told on September 21, the man was at the store when he stole $27.50 worth of items, which included two pairs of sunglasses and various confectionery items.

He was ordered to pay court costs and compensation to Red Dot.
