Rockingham City juniors part of the action at Chelsea vs Glory friendly
About 50 members of Rockingham City Football Club attended the Perth Glory v Chelsea friendly match at Optus Stadium last Monday, with junior players joining a parade around the field before kick-off.
The club’s head of Mini-Roos Lisa Manson accepted the invitation from Football West for Rockingham to join other junior teams for a march around the ground.
Rockingham City had the biggest turnout of juniors for the parade, according to club president Brian Kennedy.
“The Rocky kids had a memorable evening and a night they will always remember against a class team and current FA Cup holders Chelsea,” he said.
More than 55,000 people turned up on a wet and windy night to see the English Premier League club defeat Glory 1-0.
